What will your retirement look like? Today I want to share a story that shows why retirement planning is important.

I didn’t have any plans for this past Memorial Day weekend, so I went down to Sarasota, Florida, to meet up with a past client, Bob, who’d become a close friend. He invited me to dinner at his house, which is one of the most stunning homes I have ever seen.

I was impressed with what he and his wife, Betty, had done with the place. It was an immaculate home that sat near the water and had a beautiful screened pool. He ended up grilling a delicious lobster for dinner. Bob also has another home in Costa Rica, and I hope to make it down there sometime.

My point is this: Bob and Betty have done a great job planning their retirement. They are living their retirement dreams. Planning is important; if you don’t have a plan, you probably don’t know where you’re going.

Talk to your financial advisor if they haven’t given you a plan. If you don’t have an advisor, give my team a call. We can put a plan in place for you
